Asian Games: India, Malaysia reach women's team badminton quarterfinals

Sindhu cruised to victory as India swept Kazakhstan 3-0 to reach the women's team badminton quarterfinals at the Asian Games on Sunday, while Malaysia advanced after beating Hong Kong, China in the same score. Sindhu, the two-time Olympic medalist, opened the round of 16 tie with a dominant 21-7, 21-9 win over Kamila Smagulova in just 24 minutes. Unnati Hooda followed with a 21-7, 21-10 victory against Alissa Kuleshova, and Tanvi Sharma completed the sweep by defeating Diana Namenova 21-5, 21-10. India's doubles pairs were not needed.
