Cyclone Murasu crosses Coastal AP; IMD issues red alert for three Telangana districts

Hyderabad, Nov 3 (UNI) Severe cyclonic storm Murasu crossed the South Coastal Andhra Pradesh between Nellore and Narasapur, near Ongole, during 0330 hours and 0530 hours on Tuesday, with wind speeds of 100-110 kmph and gusts reaching 120 kmph, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) said. The cyclone was centred near Ongole at 0530 hours, about 40 km southwest of Bapatla. It is likely to move north-northwestwards and gradually weaken into a cyclonic storm by noon and a deep depression by midnight on Tuesday.
