Incessant rains wreak havoc in coastal Andhra districts

Vijayawada, Sep 24 (UNI) Incessant rains under the influence of a deep depression wreaked havoc in coastal Andhra districts and bridge collapse,uprooting of massive trees, and electric poles reported, while the normal life was thrown out of gear. The incessant rains occurred in the combined Srikakulam, Vizianagaram, Visakhapatnam, Kakinada, East and West Godavari, Krishna and Guntur districts, throwing normal life out of gear. Educational institutions declared a holiday today. All the rivers, including Vamshadhara, Nagavali, Bahuda, Mahendratanaya, rivulets, canals and nalas were overflowing with floodwaters and road connectivity to more than 100 villages was cut off.
