AP: Heavy rains in Visakhapatnam, trees uprooted disrupting traffic

Visakhapatnam, Oct 27 (UNI) Heavy rains accompanied by gusty gales battered Visakhapatnam district under the influence of the cyclonic storm Arnab on Tuesday throwing normal life out of gear. Several trees were uprooted at various places in the city snapping the electric wires resulting in several localities being plunged into darkness due to power failure. Giant waves in the sea caused concern. Incessant rains occurred in Srikakulam, Vizianagaram, Anakapalle and Manyam districts as well.
