Telangana Govt establishes TG-TMARS for Road, Rail Safety

Hyderabad, Sept 24 (UNI) The Telangana government has established the Telangana Traffic Management, Road and Rail Safety Bureau (TG-TMARS) to strengthen scientific traffic management and road and rail safety in the State, Chief Secretary Sanjay Jaju said on Thursday. The bureau will function under the State Road Safety Council headed by Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy. Headquartered in Hyderabad, TG-TMARS will function under an officer of the rank of Additional DGP or IGP and oversee traffic management across more than 32,000 km of state roads and the movement of over 1.8 crore vehicles daily.
