Haryana: Police issue over 12,700 traffic challans in Gurugram; reward-carrying robbery accused held

Panchkula, Sep 24 (UNI) Haryana Police have issued 12,768 traffic challans in Gurugram during a special enforcement drive this month, including 9,394 for lane violations carrying fines of over Rs 1.12 crore, while separate police operations led to arrests in a Rs 25-lakh armed robbery case and two fatal road accident cases, a police spokesman said here today. The spokesman said Gurugram Traffic Police intensified enforcement between September 1 and 23 to curb violations and improve road safety on major stretches, including NH-48 and the Dwarka Expressway.
