Smoke from Vande Bharat coach causing panic among passengers in Vijayawada V

Vijayawada, Sep 23 (UNI) Thick smoke emanated from a coach of a Vande Bharat Express train when it halted in the railway station here, causing panic among passengers on Wednesday. Railway officials said that when the Narsapur-Chennai train arrived at Vijayawada Railway Station a hot axle was noticed in the C4 coach. Railway staff immediately attended to the coach and identified the cause as a hot axle. The concerned technical and safety teams were alerted, and necessary action was initiated promptly while passengers were provided with waiting facilities, drinking water, food, and a help desk for assistance, officials added.
