Special road safety plans for seven Telangana districts: DGP

Hyderabad, Oct 7 (UNI) Telangana DGP C V Anand on Wednesday directed officials to implement focused action plans to reduce road accident fatalities in seven districts selected under the Centre and Supreme Court initiative targeting 100 high-accident districts across the country. Addressing a video conference with Transport Commissioner Ilambarithi, district Collectors, Police Commissioners and SAFE Foundation representatives, the DGP called for detailed analysis of accident locations, causes and timings through the 'Margadarshak' portal. The seven districts-Medchal-Malkajgiri, Ranga Reddy, Yadadri Bhuvanagiri, Sangareddy, Hanumakonda, Warangal and Jangaon-have identified 48 key accident corridors, 230 priority zones, 220 traffic violation zones and 183 pedestrian…
