Data integration crucial for AI-driven drug development, experts say at Bio Connect 4.0

Thiruvananthapuram, Oct 9 (UNI) Experts at the International Life Sciences Industries Conclave, Bio Connect 4.0, have called for an integrated research ecosystem connecting hospitals, clinical research centres, artificial intelligence (AI) laboratories and advanced research facilities to accelerate drug discovery and development. Participating in a panel discussion on 'Transforming Life Sciences through Digital Innovation (AI)', the experts stressed the need to break institutional silos, facilitate the sharing of biological data and strengthen digital infrastructure to harness the full potential of AI in developing new drugs.
