Hyd: Balapur Ganesh laddu fetches record Rs 39 lakh at auction

Hyderabad, Sep 25 (UNI) The famous Balapur Ganesh laddu fetched a record Rs 39 lakh at the annual auction held here on Friday, surpassing last year's bid of Rs 35 lakh by Rs 4 lakh. The auction, organised by the Balapur Ganesh Utsav Samithi, began with a base price of Rs 1,116. Eight people registered their names to participate in the auction, with bids quickly crossing last year's Rs 35 lakh mark.
