Visakhapatnam, Sep 17 (UNI) Doctors at KIMS Seethammadhara on Thursday said they have successfully treated a nine-month pregnant woman who suffered an acute ischemic stroke, using emergency mechanical thrombectomy to restore blood flow to the brain, followed by the delivery of a healthy baby boy. The woman from the Visakhapatnam region was brought to the hospital with sudden weakness on the right side of her body and loss of speech, the hospital said in a release.
