Vijay sarkar extends Rs.75,000 crop loan waiver to all eligible farmers

Chennai, Nov 6 (UNI) In what could be seen a Deepavali gift to the farming community, who were already disappointed in Kuruvai and Samba crop cultivation due to water scarcity, the Tamil Nadu government headed by Chief Minister Vijay on Saturday announced extension of the crop loan waiver of up to Rs 75,000 to all eligible farmers. Under the revised loan waiver schemes, all farmers, who had borrowed loans to the tune of Rs 75,000 and above from cooperative societies between May 1, 2025, and March 31, 2026, would get a flat waiver of Rs 75,000, benefitting 13.25 lakh farmers,…
