TN Bypoll: Multi-corner contest gives Vijay's TVK edge over DMK and AIADMK

By MC Rajan Chennai, Sep 16 (UNI) In what could be a referendum on the performance of the five-month-old Vijay government, the October 6 bypoll for two assembly seats in Tamil Nadu is witnessing a multi-corner contest, apparently giving an edge to the ruling Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK) going by the strength of its coalition. The bypoll is necessitated due to the resignation of two AIADMK legislators, Maragatham Kumaravel (Madurantakam) and P.Sathyabama (Dharapuram), who switched to the TVK soon after Vijay secured the Trust vote in the Assembly, raising allegations of horse-trading.
