K A Paul welcomes HC verdict, seeks action against other defectors

Hyderabad, Sep 18 (UNI) Praja Shanti Party president K A Paul on Friday welcomed the Telangana High Court verdict disqualifying Khairatabad MLA Danam Nagender, describing it as a landmark judgment and "justice for the people of Telangana." In a video statement, Paul said the verdict sent a message that elected representatives could not switch parties in violation of constitutional provisions. He said he had earlier approached the Chief Justice with a public interest litigation seeking action against political defections.
