Karnataka Council polls test BJP-JD(S) coordination, Cong governing strength

By BD Narayankar Bengaluru, Oct 20 (UNI) The Karnataka Legislative Council elections to four graduates' and teachers' constituencies have emerged as a test of coordination between the BJP and Janata Dal (Secular) alliance and an opportunity for the ruling Congress to demonstrate its electoral strength, with the outcome also drawing attention ahead of the 2028 Assembly elections. The elections, scheduled for October 23, will see the three parties contesting across Karnataka West Graduates', Karnataka South-East Graduates', Karnataka North-East Teachers' and Bengaluru Teachers' constituencies.
