Tirupati MP urges Centre to retain airport under AAI management

Tirupati, Oct 9 (UNI) Tirupati MP Maddila Gurumoorthy on Friday urged the Centre to reconsider the proposed privatisation of Tirupati Airport and retain it under the management of the Airports Authority of India (AAI), citing public interest, affordable air travel and regional development. In a letter to Civil Aviation Minister Kinjarapu Ram Mohan Naidu, Gurumoorthy sought continued AAI management and additional investment in the airport's infrastructure to cater to the growing passenger traffic.
