INCOIS Director elected chair of UNESCO-IOC sub-commission for Central Indian Ocean

Hyderabad, Oct. 15 (UNI) Dr T. M. Balakrishnan Nair, Director of the Indian National Centre for Ocean Information Services (INCOIS), has been elected chair of the UNESCO-IOC Sub-Commission for the Central Indian Ocean (IOCINDIO). Dr Turki Al-Saeed of Kuwait and Dr Rezah M. Badal of Mauritius have reportedly been elected vice-chairs, subject to confirmation of their official names and appointments, the Centre said in a release on Thursday.
