Concrete structure collapses at Hosur SIPCOT, 3 killed, 4 hurt

Chennai, Nov 6 (UNI) Three workers were killed and four others injured when an under construction concrete structure collapsed at a private firm at Hosur SIPCOT in Krishnagiri district of Tamil Nadu on Thursday evening.

Reports received here today said the concrete structure was part of an arch being constructed when it collapsed.

About 17 workers were engaged in construction of the arch when the incident occurred.

Police and fire service personnel rushed to the spot, retrieved the bodies and sent to hospital for autopsy. The injured workers were admitted to Hosur Government hospital.
