Madras HC dismisses plea seeking CBI probe into granite baron Veeramani POCSO case

Chennai, Oct 14 (UNI) The Madras High Court on Wednesday dismissed as withdrawn, a petition seeking to transfer the investigation into the POCSO cases against Gem Granites owner R.Veeramani to the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI). An earlier plea filed by one Varahi was being heard by Mr Justice V.Lakshminarayanan who had already refused a similar prayer on September 30 saying the SIT formed by the Tamil Nadu government should be given breathing space to collect all the evidences in the case.
