Madras HC dismisses plea against TN govt's new Secretariat complex

Chennai, Oct 5 (UNI) The Madras High Court on Monday dismissed as withdrawn, a Public Interest Iitigation (PIL) seeking a direction to the Tamil Nadu government to abandon its proposed plan to construct a new Legislative Assembly-cum-Secretariat complex at Pattinapakkam in Chennai city. The petition was filed by a Chennai-based advocate R.S.Tamilvendhan, challenging the proposed construction of the Secretariat complex on 25.5 acres of land belonging to the Tamil Nadu Housing Board at Pattinapakkam.
