CBI arrests MIL ED, 2 others in bribery case

Chennai, Oct 14 (UNI) The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has arrested Executive Director, Munition India Ltd. (MIL), Pune, and two other private persons in a bribery case in Mumbai. Those arrested were Anil Kumar, Executive Director, MIL, ⁠Ashish Kansal, CEO and Director/Promoter of M/s SMPP Ltd and ⁠B. Harshavardhan, brother of Anil Kumar. The CBI registered the case on October 12 against the accused public servant on allegations that while posted at MIL Pune as Executive Director, he, in connivance with certain private contractors/vendors, indulged in demand and acceptance of illegal gratification in exchange for extending official favours.
