RIMS, Imphal constitutes enquiry committee into death of woman after childbirth

Imphal, Oct 14 (UNI) The Regional Institute of Medical Sciences (RIMS), Imphal, has constituted a four-member Enquiry Committee to investigate the circumstances surrounding the death of a 25-year-old woman, Thokchom Ongbi Binaroi, following childbirth at the institute. Media Cell, RIMS on Wednesday said in a statement expressed profound sorrow over the unfortunate demise and extended heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family. The institute said a post-mortem examination was scheduled to be conducted on Wednesday to establish the cause of death.
