TGHRC recommends Rs 5 lakh compensation to parents of child killed in stray dog attack

Hyderabad, Sep 18 (UNI) The Telangana Human Rights Commission (TGHRC), headed by Chairperson Dr Justice Shameem Akther, has recommended Rs 5 lakh compensation to the parents of a three-year-old boy, Master Nithun Powar, who died after being attacked by a pack of stray dogs at Rupla Thanda village in Shivampet mandal of Medak district on July 18, 2025. The Commission had taken suo motu cognisance of media reports and, during the enquiry, examined the child's parents and medical records from Area Hospital, Narsapur, which confirmed that he was brought dead at 6.10 pm and had suffered multiple dog bites.
