NCW seeks swift action in brutal dowry torture of Kerala woman

Thiruvananthapuram, Oct 8 (UNI) The National Commission for Women (NCW) has sought a fair, thorough and time-bound probe into the alleged brutal physical and mental torture of a 24-year-old postgraduate woman in Kollam over demands for additional dowry. Taking suo motu cognizance of a media report published on October 4, the Commission said the woman, identified as Anju, was allegedly subjected to relentless harassment and physical abuse by her husband Nandu and his parents.
