515 Donors Come Forward to Support Thalassemia Children at Hyderabad Blood Donation Camp

Hyderabad, Oct 5 (UNI) In a significant humanitarian initiative to support children living with Thalassemia, the Paigham-e-Insaniyat Forum (East Zone, Hyderabad) organised a blood donation camp in the city on Monday, which drew an overwhelming community response. As many as 515 people donated blood, making a valuable contribution towards ensuring timely transfusions for children dependent on regular blood support. The camp's primary objective was to help ensure a regular, timely supply of blood for children with Thalassemia, a serious genetic blood disorder that affects the body's ability to produce adequate healthy haemoglobin and results in persistent anaemia.
