Vellore DMK councillor arrested for remarks against Vijay linked to Karur stampede

Chennai, Oct 28 (UNI) Vellore DMK Councillor Teeta Saravanan, who was absconding after allegedly making remarks that "we should have finished him in Karur itself", about Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Vijay linking to the Karur stampede that claimed 41 lives, was arrested in Villupuram district on Wednesday. Saravanan had stoked a political row with this remarks made outside the Puzhal Central prison near here when arrested former DMK Minister Anbil Mahesh Poyyamozhi was escorted after judicial remand in the Rs.100 crore private school recognition graft case in the intervening hours of Monday and Tuesday.
