Granite-baron Veeramani detained under Goondas Act

Chennai, Oct 1 (UNI) Tainted bizman and Granite-baron R.Veeramani, who was arrested under POCSO Act on charges of sexually assaulting several juvenile girls over the years, was on Thursday detained under the Goondas Act. The orders detaining him under the Goondas Act was issued by Greater Chennai City Police Commissioner A.Amalraj following which he was formally detained at the Puzhal Central prison, where he was lodged on judicial remand.
