TGCSB arrests 101 in multi-state cybercrime crackdown

Hyderabad, Oct 7 (UNI) The Telangana Cyber Security Bureau (TGCSB) have arrested 101 accused, including 18 women, and traced fraudulent transactions worth around Rs 17 crore in a two-week multi-state operation across six States/UTs. The operation, launched on September 23, covered Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Kerala and Puducherry, targeting cyber-enabled financial crime networks. The arrests included 35 in Kerala, 22 in AP, 17 in Karnataka, 14 in Tamil Nadu, 12 in Telangana and one in Puducherry. Of those arrested, 19 were identified as agents and 81 as mule account holders.
