Railway thefts in Kerala: 48 held, valuables worth over Rs 30 lakh recovered

Thiruvananthapuram, Sep 23 (UNI) Kerala Railway Police have arrested 48 persons in connection with thefts targeting train passengers and seized stolen property worth more than Rs 30 lakh during a special security drive conducted across the state over the past month. The accused, arrested from Kerala and other states, were produced before courts and remanded, police said. The arrests were made as part of intensified investigations carried out at various railway stations and on trains across the state following complaints of thefts.
