Sabarimala Lord Ayyappa's golden crown stolen, duplicate kept in strong room

Thiruvananthapuram, Sep 24 (UNI) A 55.75-sovereign golden crown kept in the strong room of the Sabarimala Lord Ayyappa temple has allegedly been stolen and replaced with a duplicate. The crown, weighing around 55.75 sovereigns, was donated by a devotee from Tamil Nadu in 2012. Preliminary findings indicate that the crown was kept at a location without CCTV surveillance. Travancore Devaswom Board president K. Jayakumar said the security lapse would be examined and that further details would emerge in the report to be submitted to the Kerala High Court.
