Thiruvananthapuram, Oct 13 (UNI) With festive-season online shopping sales gaining momentum, consumers have been cautioned against cyber fraudsters circulating fake discounts and promotional offers in the name of popular e-commerce events such as Amazon Great Indian Festival and Flipkart Big Billion Days. Fraudsters exploit the popularity of these sales to lure unsuspecting customers through social media advertisements, WhatsApp messages, SMS and emails, promising substantial price cuts, attractive gifts and exclusive deals.
