BJP BLAs booked over alleged fake Form-7 filings in Jayanagar

Bengaluru, Oct 6 (UNI) Bengaluru Police have registered an FIR against two BJP Booth Level Agents (BLAs) and others for allegedly submitting fraudulent Form-7 applications seeking deletion of 5,698 voters from the Jayanagar Assembly constituency, adding a fresh twist to the raging political battle over Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls in Karnataka. The FIR was registered at Jayanagar police station on Monday night following a complaint by Karnataka Mahila Congress president Sowmya Reddy, who alleged that the accused had deliberately targeted voters perceived to be unfavourable to the BJP.
