AP: Former postmaster gets 5-year jail term for misappropriating Rs 47.95 lakh

Visakhapatnam, Sept 23 (UNI) The CBI Court in Visakhapatnam on Wednesday sentenced a former Sub Postmaster of Kotturu Sub Post Office in Srikakulam district to five years' simple imprisonment and a fine of Rs 7,000 in a case involving alleged misappropriation of government funds amounting to Rs 47.95 lakh. Damalapati Venu Gopal Naidu, former Sub Postmaster (Lower Selection Grade), Kotturu Sub Post Office under Amadalavalasa Head Post Office, was convicted by P.
