Telangana fully prepared to tackle El Nino impact: Seethakka

Hyderabad, Sep 18 (UNI) Telangana Panchayat Raj and Rural Development Minister Danasari Anasuya Seethakka on Friday said the state government had taken comprehensive measures to tackle the impact of El Nino, particularly water scarcity and reduced employment opportunities in rural areas. Participating in a short discussion on "Effects of El Nino - Remedial Measures" in the Assembly, Seethakka said El Niño had caused rainfall deficits across the country and its impact was being felt in Telangana as well.
