Telangana to bring 2 lakh more acres under horticulture: Thummala

Hyderabad, Sep 16 (UNI) Telangana Agriculture Minister Thummala Nageswara Rao on Wednesday said the State government plans to bring an additional two lakh acres under horticultural crops during 2026-27, with special focus on oil palm and crop diversification. Replying to members during Question Hour in the Assembly, he said farmers were being provided subsidies of 70 to 90 per cent, depending on the category, for inputs and infrastructure such as saplings, mulching, shade nets, drip and sprinkler irrigation, farm ponds, cold storage and mechanisation.
