Southern states should work together to strengthen agriculture: Shivraj Chouhan

Hyderabad, Sep 18 (UNI) union Agriculture and Farmers' Welfare and Rural Development Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan on Friday called for Centre-State cooperation and region-specific planning to address agricultural challenges and improve farmers' incomes. Addressing the Regional Agriculture Conference for Southern States in Hyderabad, Mr Chouhan said discussions focused on the impact of El Niño, crop diversification and preparations for the upcoming Rabi season. He said the objective was to bring tangible improvements in farmers' lives, strengthen food and nutritional security and generate employment through agriculture.
