Protest planned in Kochi over medical negligence involving mother and newborn

Kochi, Oct 7 (UNI) The Ernakulam district committee of Jananeethi Samrakshana Vedi (JSV) will stage a protest outside the Ernakulam General Hospital on October 12, demanding action over an alleged serious medical lapse involving a woman, Athira, and her baby. The protest will begin at 1030 hours, with the organisation demanding that the circumstances surrounding the treatment of Athira and her child be properly investigated and that responsibility be fixed if any lapse is established.
