Kerala CM condemns detention of Pinarayi Vijayan, seeks immediate release

Thiruvananthapuram, Oct 10 (UNI) Kerala Chief Minister V D Satheesan on Saturday strongly condemned the alleged arbitrary detention of Leader of Opposition Pinarayi Vijayan by Delhi Police and said steps were being taken to secure his immediate release. Expressing deep concern over the incident, Satheesan said Vijayan was being held at the Mandir Marg Police Station in New Delhi. The Chief Minister said that, on his instructions, the Chief Secretary of Kerala and the Resident Commissioner in New Delhi were in direct contact with Delhi Police authorities to coordinate all necessary steps for Vijayan's immediate release.
