AP Cabinet approves reservations for BCs in local body elections based on RR Mishra commission report

Vijayawada, Oct 10 (UNI) The Andhra Pradesh Cabinet chaired by Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu has decided to provide reservations to the Backward Classes in the ensuing local body elections as per the recommendations made by the Rajeev Ranjan Mishra-led special commission. Informing the media about the Cabinet decisions on Saturday, Minister for Agriculture K Atchannaidu said that a special commission has been constituted in accordance with Supreme Court guidelines regarding BC reservations.
