AP: Elderly man charred alive as flames erupt in car

Guntur, Sep 29 (UNI) An elderly person was charred alive when flames erupted in a car and engulfed it at Sangadigunta village near here on Tuesday. Sub-inspector Haseem said that Akilesh had taken his father, Harikrishna, in his car to hospital. When they were returning, Akilesh noticed flares in the car. Before he could stop the car, flames had erupted in the car. However, passersby extricated Akilesh from the car by smashing the windscreen. But Harikrishna could not be rescued as flames engulfed the car, and he was burnt alive. A fire tender rushed there and extinguished the fire but…
