Haryana ACB nabs registry clerk in Rs 70,000 bribery trap; Naib Tehsildar shifted hours later

Panchkula, Oct 9 (UNI) A registry clerk at Haryana's Raipur Rani tehsil was arrested on Friday for allegedly accepting a Rs 70,000 bribe to facilitate property registrations, while the state government ordered the immediate transfer of the local Naib Tehsildar on the same day, putting the functioning of the revenue office under scrutiny. The Haryana State Vigilance and Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) identified the arrested clerk as Amit Kumar, who allegedly demanded Rs 1 lakh from a property dealer for registering sale deeds related to plots in Panchkula district.
