J&K notifies EV- Policy-2026, sets six-year roadmap for clean mobility

Srinagar, Oct 1 (UNI) The Jammu and Kashmir Government has rolled out its Electric Vehicle Policy-2026, charting a six-year roadmap to accelerate the shift to cleaner, affordable and weather-resilient transport across the union Territory. The policy was notified after being approved by the Council of Ministers chaired by Chief Minister Omar Abdullah. Officials said the policy, covering the period 2026-32, aims to accelerate EV adoption, strengthen charging infrastructure and create an enabling ecosystem for electric mobility across all 20 districts of J&K.
