New digital payment system becomes effective at National Lok Adalat in UP

Lucknow, Sep 16 (UNI) The Allahabad High Court's new digital initiative towards online payment and speedy settlement of traffic challans in the district judiciary of Uttar Pradesh has yielded effective results. During the National Lok Adalat held on September 12, 2026, the 'Payment Setu Portal', developed in-house by the High Court, was simultaneously deployed in 74 districts of the state. Through this system, 18,661 traffic challans were settled in a single day, and an amount of Rs 83,38,525 was received digitally.
