IT dept detected 4311 unreported transactions last year in UP

Lucknow, Oct 16 (UNI) The Income Tax Department's Intelligence and Criminal Investigation (I&CI) Cell, Lucknow, had detected a total of 4,311 unreported transactions (Rs 2,747.5 crore) last year, including 1,714 (Rs 1,160.75 crore) that have now been duly reported. This was revealed during a public awareness programme here at Aayakar Bhawan on Friday. The programme aimed to highlight the importance of taxation ("Kosh Mool Penalty"), the backbone of tax administration.
