Sports a powerful tool to keep youth away from drugs: MLA Malendra Rajan

Indora (Kangra), Sept 23 (UNI) Indora MLA Malendra Rajan said sports are a powerful means of keeping youngsters away from drugs and urged all students to actively participate in sporting activities. Rajan was speaking after inaugurating the district-level Under-19 Major Games competitions for boys at Government Model Senior Secondary School, Indora, on Tuesday. Around 690 players from 45 schools are participating in various sporting events. Rajan said sports play an important role in the physical and mental development of students and help inculcate discipline, self-confidence, leadership qualities and team spirit.
