Solar on Salary: UHBVN links employee solar loans to electricity bills

Panchkula, Sept 22 (UNI) Uttar Haryana Bijli Vitran Nigam (UHBVN) has offered interest-free financial assistance to eligible government and Haryana Kaushal Rozgar Nigam (HKRN) employees for installing rooftop solar systems of up to 5 kW, with the loan amount to be adjusted through their electricity bills. Under the Solar Energy Promotion Scheme, government employees and HKRN employees having job security can avail themselves of the assistance, provided there are no outstanding dues against their electricity connection up to the previous bill, according to information issued by the power utility.
