Railways revises wagon hire charges; non-railway users to pay Rs 1,877 per wagon per day

New Delhi, Sep 21 (UNI) The Railway Board has revised hire charges for wagons interchanged between railways, fixing the rate for non-railway users at Rs 1,877 per eight-wheeler broad-gauge wagon per day, according to an official order. The revised rates came into effect on September 1, and will remain valid until August 31, 2027. For inter-railway financial adjustment, the hire charge has been fixed at Rs 1,016 per eight-wheeler BG wagon per day, comprising Rs 640 as workshop repair charges and Rs 376 as depreciation charges.
