UP: BLW manufactures 50th Amrit Bharat push-pull locomotive, strengthening Make in India & Atmanirbhar Bharat campaigns

Varanasi, Oct 15 (UNI) Demonstrating its production capacity and technical prowess, Banaras Rail Locomotive Works (BLW) has manufactured its 50th Amrit Bharat (push-pull) locomotive in the financial year 2026-27. The push-pull locomotives manufactured for the Amrit Bharat trains are equipped with modern technology. Positioning the locomotives at both ends of the train ensures ease of operation. Features such as state-of-the-art loco cabs, semi-automatic couplers, crash-proof design, and improved braking systems make these locomotives modern.
