Punjab agrees in principle to address pay disparity of 180 ETT teachers

Chandigarh, Oct 5 (UNI) The Punjab government on Monday agreed in principle to address a pay disparity affecting 180 Elementary Teacher Training teachers and ordered officials to expedite an ongoing inquiry into the case, Finance Minister Harpal Singh Cheema said. The decision came during a meeting at the Punjab Civil Secretariat attended by Cheema, Education Minister Harjot Singh Bains, Chief Secretary K.A.P. Sinha and senior officials of the finance and education departments.
