Sikhs protest in Srinagar, demand official recognition of Punjabi language

Srinagar, Oct 9 (UNI) Members of the Sikh community on Friday staged a peaceful protest here , demanding restoration and promotion of Punjabi as one of the official languagea in Jammu and Kashmir. The demonstration held at Gurdwara Shaheed Bunga Sahib in Bagat Barzulla Srinagar, was attended by representatives of the All Parties Sikh Coordination Committee, Punjabi Sahit Sabha, Gurdwara Prabandhak Committees, Akali Dal and other organisations.
